Can you run in heels? If so, run, don’t walk, to Quincy Boutique. If you have trouble running around in your stilettos, take them off and then run. As soon as you walk into Quincy, I can assure you, you will want new heels to walk home in.
I get so very excited when I see creative Australians producing beautiful original design so when I walked into Quincy last Wednesday for the Australian launch of Sophie Cox’s new Autumn/Winter 13/14 collection, The Cocktail Hour, my excitement would have been evident for all to see. Sophie is not only gorgeous herself, she is humble and extremely talented. She also has a very interesting story behind her beginnings as a shoe designer: in her final year of her industrial design course she invented a shoe that flipped from a flat to a high heel! Industrial design’s loss was certainly fashion’s gain and Sophie Cox’s stunning heels are now available from Quincy Boutique in Woollahra… but get in fast as they are sure to be a sell out.
Quincy Boutique is a truly divine destination for luxury handbags and shoes right in the heart of Queen Street Woollahra. And just to add the icing on my “creative Australian’s doing great things” cupcake, Quincy was founded by the lovely Kate who has now moved onto a new chapter of her life in the Australian countryside and has passed the baton onto yet another local, who I had the pleasure of meeting on Wednesday evening. With similar backgrounds in the corporate world, and now dipping our toe into a creative adventure, we have big plans in place, so watch this space…
