Mentor power hour with Blog Society and General Assembly

One of my favourite organisations, Blog Society, has teamed up with General Assembly to launch a new series for bloggers: Mentor Power Hour. This is a free event designed to inspire creatives and allow a forum for discussion on how to turn your blog or idea into a business. I am thrilled to announce that I have been asked to be one of the mentors for the first power hour, held this Thursday 21 August 2014 at the offices of General Assembly {Level M, 56-58 York Street, Sydney} . I would love you to come – as well as a free glass of wine and the oppotunity to meet with fellow bloggers and creatives, the three mentors {me, Nia Neve from The Assembly and a third mentor soon to be announced} will talk about getting started, give you some suggestions with our top 10 tips and open the floor to questions. It will be an informal evening of drinks, conversation and a bit of {not-at-all scary} networking. You absolutely do NOT need to have a blog, intend to have a blog or want to have a blog to attend!

A truly unique offering of courses in technology, business and design and I encourage you to pop over to their website and have a look to see if one of their classes – including a great selection of online learning options – would help your business ventures.

Hope to see you on Thursday evening.

  1. Thank you Catherine for a great talk last night. I really enjoyed the event and it’s provided me with some fantastic tips for launching my blog. I have a couple of questions I’d love to ask you, but I’ll send you an email. Thanks again and good on you for leaving the cubicle farm 😉
