Table Tonic, Avalon, Sydney’s Northern BeachesTT blog #3TT blog #10A calm washed over me as I turned onto Avalon Parade, Avalon. In Avalon, a few beaches south of the famous Palm Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, everyone looked relaxed, everyone was smiling and the pace just seemed that little bit more leisurely than at home {almost an hour south in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs}. I literally felt my shoulders drop and my pulse rate slow… until I walked into Table Tonic!2014-04-30 - TT - copyright Catherine Wilson for catherine & grace09Suddenly my heartbeat quickened and I could feel my eyes darting around, trying to take in all the beauty at once.  So many gorgeous things, so much to see, all within such a delightfully small space.TT blog #1TT blog #7This Avalon institution had undergone a transformation just days before I visited, almost doubling in size and being given a fabulous makeover.  With a striking black wall, pops of white and stunning neutrals the store itself is styled to perfection by owner Louise Bell. And then there are the wares! TT Blog #8TT blog #6When deciding to open Table Tonic, Louise’s personal mandate was to offer affordable, on-trend home wares that were not readily available to the Australian market.  While some items {such as Table Tonic’s range of Uashmama washable paper bags – which I am currently OBSESSED with, by the way, and of course had to take some home} are available elsewhere, there are many, many treats that are unique to Table Tonic and certainly made the drive up well worthwhile.2014-04-30 - TT - copyright Catherine Wilson for catherine & grace112014-04-30 - TT - copyright Catherine Wilson for catherine & grace08The perfect destination to spoil yourself, purchase a gift to spoil another or source a big ticket item for your home.  If you can’t make it to Avalon {Table Tonic is at Shop 6, 20 Avalon Parade, Avalon, inside Garden Court Arcade which has Flight Centre on the corner} do check out their online shop.  Either way, a beautifully curated selection awaits you.TT blog #11
